John Greiner
Our next inductee in the manager category is legendary fast pitch guru. John began his softball odyssey in the early 1960s as a fast-pitch player. Although he also played slow-pitch, he left an indelible footprint in the girl’s and women’s fast pitch category as a sponsor, coach and mentor.
Among the teams he sponsored and coached were the St Louis Flames, St Louis Rowdies and St Louis Maniacs. All of these teams were “ultra” competitive and were among the best teams in the Midwest region.
Sadly, John left us too soon and passed away at the “way to early age” of 53. Here to tell us more about his remarkable career is his son, Mr Jim Greiner.
