The St. Louis Softball Hall of Fame will honor the St. Louis Hummers women's professional softball team at the 2012 Banquet. The Hummers played here in the area in the late 1970's and 1980's. The team was part of the Women's Professional Softball League and played their games at Harrawood Field in Valley Park, MO.

The team's general manager was George Jones, and coaches were Linda Wells (who also played), and Lorene Ramsey (Asst. Coach).

Many of the former Hummers will be at this year's banquet. Those players attending are: Margie Wright, Lorene Ramsey, Bethel Stout, Pat Guenzler, Debbie Mann Kurka, Cindy Henderson Sneed, Charlie Senewald, Judy Schneider, Susie Hiner, Nancy Fadea Malinowski, Nancy Nelson, Karen Harris, Vicki Schneider, and Linda Wells. Former bat girl Jodi Wells Suerig may also be in attendance.

Margie Wright and Lorene Ramsey will be inducted that evening as well, into the St. Louis Softball Hall of Fame.

Michele (Mickey) DeBold also played for the St. Louis Hummers back in the late 70's. I know she would love to be informed about these banquets. She was unaware of them.
